Brownies!

This brownie batter recipe is a good base to add anything to.  It's also really delicious without any additions.  I made some today (and it took such a short time and it was so easy.) without any nuts or anything.  They came out perfect; not too sweet and not too heavy.  They were so perfectly decadent, with just the right amount of sweetness that it's really hard to just eat one.

Here's the recipe:

Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter
2 cups granulated white sugar
4 eggs at room temperature
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
About 1/4 cup (or however much you please) of whatever you want! (i.e., walnuts, chocolate chips)

Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease pan.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Once melted remove from heat.

  3. Add sugar, vanilla, and eggs into the melted butter and blend together.

  4. In separate bowl, mix together flour, cocoa, and salt.
  5. Add dry mixture to the wet and mix well.

  6. Add any addition you want.
  7. Pour into greased pan.

  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Enjoy!
